Thermal Properties

Thermal Resistivity is the measure of ability of the soil to conduct heat away from the source (power cable) and is commonly referred to as “Thermal RHO”. The most commonly used ampacity program based on Neher-McGrath or IEC 287 give thermal RHO units in °C-cm/W.
